Frequently asked questions

How is nasal spray peptide concentration calculated?
Concentration equals the milligrams of peptide in the bottle divided by the bottle volume in millilitres (mg/mL). The amount each spray delivers is that concentration multiplied by the pump's output volume per spray, converted to micrograms. This calculator does that math for research reference purposes.
How many mcg is one spray?
It depends on the concentration and the pump. A standard nasal pump dispenses about 0.10 mL per actuation, so a 20 mg peptide in a 15 mL bottle (1.33 mg/mL) delivers roughly 133 mcg per 0.10 mL spray.
How many sprays are in a nasal spray bottle?
Divide the bottle volume by the pump output. A 15 mL bottle with a 0.10 mL pump holds about 150 sprays.
What spray volume do nasal pumps dispense?
Most metered nasal pumps dispense 0.05 to 0.13 mL per actuation, with 0.10 mL the most common. The pump's specification sheet states the exact output — the calculator lets you select or enter it.
